Am letzten Samstag war ich am Calvinize Event  in Münsingen  (BE) von Calvin Hollywood.
Der Event versprach, folgende Themen zu behandeln…

• Planung und Konzeption eines Shootings (Ideenfindung)
• Umgang mit dem Model (oder auch dem Nichtmodel)
• Lichtführung und Ausleuchtung
• RAW-Konvertierung
• Photoshop-Workflow
• Tipps und Tricks der Bildbearbeitung
• Platzierung der Bilder auf versch. Plattformen (Publicity)
• und vieles mehr

und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht!!!

Natürlich gibt es immer wieder Themen oder Techniken, die man schon kennt. Aber es ist auch immer wieder gut diese zu wiederholen und zu vertiefen, und von einer anderen Person zu hören, die es anders erklärt, damit es wieder präsent ist.

Es gab aber auch sehr viele neue Sachen zu lernen wie z.B. der letzte Punkt, wo es um die Vermarktung von sich selber ging und viel neues Licht ins Bild brachte.

Bobblehead

Gestern habe ich wieder ein Bild aus der Baseball Team Serie fertig gestellt.

Hier wollte ich ein übertriebenes Cartoon ähnliches Bild von Tim Jones machen, der den “Pop de Chain” move macht.

Im März habe ich ein Paar Fotoshoots mit unserer Baseball Mannschaft gemacht. Neben den Standard Profil Fotos hat jeder Spieler seine eigenen Ideen und Posen machen können, welche ich fotografiert habe, damit ich diese Bilder später für besondere Poster und Flyer umgestalten und dementsprechend bearbeiten kann – wie mit diesem Bild von Stefan, der zum Baseball Superman Film Poster gemacht wurde.

Von diesen Shootings werden immer wieder das eine oder andere Bild hier im Blog erscheinen, also haltet die Augen offen!

In March we had a few photo shoots with our Baseball Team and besides the standard profile shots everyone could try out poses that we could use for theme based posters like this one of Stefan that turned in to a Baseball Superman Movie Poster.

There will be a few more of these theme photos in the future so keep your eyes open!

Da das Wetter nicht gerade super schön war, (vor allem sehr kalt) haben wir das Natur Historische Museum besucht. Neben den sehr interessanten Ausstellungen, ist das Museum-Gebäude wunder schön gebaut, mit vielen kleinen Details und genialer Beleuchtung.

Baseball 2013…
Am kommenden Wochenende beginnt in der Schweiz die neue Baseball Saison und für den Verein und für mich die 25. Saison.
Vor ca. 3-4 Wochen haben wir an vier verschiedenen Tagen Portraits der Spieler gemacht und auch diverse “Spass” Fotos, die ich in verschiedenen Flyers und Poster während der nächsten Saison verwenden werde.
Unten sieht ihr zwei davon mit dem Studio Shot und dem Endresultat.

London…
Last week we were in London for a long weekend where I went to see the great Photoshop Freak Show Seminar by Glyn Dewis and Calvin Hollywood. I learned a lot of new Photoshop tricks and tips  and got to meet a lot of very nice people. (see photo above)

Since the weather was not really great (especially ice cold) we visited the Museum of Natural History. Besides the very interesting exhibitions the museum itself is amazing with lots of small details everywhere and great lighting. (see photo above)

Baseball 2013…
Next weekend the 2013 Baseball season will be starting and for my team and me the 25th season.   3-4 weeks ago we had four days of photo shoots were we made portraits of the players and different kinds of “Fun” shots that I will use for flyers and posters during the next season.

Photoshop Freak Show!

Es wird sicher eine tolles Weekend mit gutem Essen, neuen Bekanntschaften, viele neue Photoshop Tipps und Tricks und auch ein paar gute Bilder von London wie z.B. die Tower Bridge die geöffnet ist morgen Nacht

Ich werde nächste Woche ausführlich darüber berichten.

Tomorrow we are off to London for the weekend to relax but also to take part at the “Photoshop Freak Show” workshop held by Glyn Dewis and Calvin Hollywood. Both of them are sensational retouchers and trainers in the area of Photography and Photoshop.

I am sure that it will be a great weekend with good food, new acquaintances, lots of new photoshop tips and tricks and a few good photos from London like the lifted Tower Bridge tomorrow night.

I will be writing in detail about it next week.

Es hat Spass gemacht mit 18 Spielern und einer Spielerin an vier Tagen im Studio zu arbeiten und tolle Bilder für die kommende Saison zu machen.

Ich hoffe das es allen Spass gemacht hat und sie Freude an den Bildern haben.

Jetzt geht der Spass (für mich) erst richtig los, da es jetzt an das Bearbeiten der Bilder geht, um die Spieler Profile zu kreieren und die ersten Flyers vorzubereiten.

The Photo Days for the Baseball Team Embrach are coming to an end… well until our players from the US and Canada arrive in Switzerland!

It was a lot of fun working with 19 players in the studio and create great photos for the upcoming season.

I hope everyone had a good time and will be happy with the pictures.

Now  the fun part starts (well for me anyway) with the retouching of the photos to make player profiles and flyers for the games.

Natürlich werden wieder aktuelle Spielerfotos benötigt für Spieler Profile, Flyers und Website Gestaltung usw.

Dafür reisen die Spieler an vier verschiedenen Tagen nach Steinhausen in unser Studio und zeigen ihr schönstes lächeln und besten Posen.

In den nächsten Tagen werden dann schon die Ersten bearbeiteten Bilder hier zu sehen sein. Also halltet die Augen offen!

Well it’s almost time for the words “Play Ball!” as the new Baseball Season is soon to begin and the teams of the Baseball Team Embrach  are in full preparation.

So it’s time for new Player Photos for Game Flyers, Player Profiles and Website design.

The Players are coming to our Studio in Steinhausen on four different days to showoff there nicest smiles and best poses.

In the next few days you’ll start seeing some of the retouched Photos so keep your eyes open for that.

Ten days ago I had the chance to take Protraits of the Swiss U18 Baseball National Team.

As the Year comes to an end the time has come to look back and reflect on what we have achieved in 2011 and to figure out what we can do differently and/or do better next year.

Genau das habe ich auch mit meinen Bildern gemacht (Danke Ingo). Ich habe meine liebsten 10 Bilder gesucht, die ich dieses Jahr gemacht habe.

Exactly that is what I have done with my Photos (Thanks Ingo). I looked for my favorite 10 Photos of the Year.

Das war nicht ganz einfach! In diesem Jahr habe ich einige tausend Bilder gemacht und davon 26978 behalten (ohne Studio und Compositing Bilder).

It was not quite easy! This year I shot a couple of thousand photos and I have kept 26978 of them (Without studio and Compositing Pictures).

Aber nach einigem Kopfzerbrechen und der Beratung meiner tollen Frau (Danke Schatz) habe ich die 10 liebsten gefunden.

After a lot of head scratching and some advice from my great wife (Thanks honey) I have found my 10 favorite ones.
